Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

If you are reading this, I am so happy you are here! Sometimes it can feel like we are going in circles, climbing ladders and coming down chutes. Life can feel like a series of decisions and choosing to begin therapy is yet another one. Have you ever considered seeking therapy but didn’t know where to begin, what to discuss or what the experience could be like? Maybe people in your life have mentioned that it could be helpful for you based on their own experiences. Maybe you are looking for a different perspective on a familiar circumstance, or to gain insight into your life, learn skills to cope with challenges, understand the impact of your culture on your worldview or even simply improve your quality of life? Maybe you are navigating a new phase of life or an unexpected stressor. If any of this sounds familiar, you are not alone, and this could be the start of your personal journey.

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, earning my Master’s degree from Central Connecticut State University. I have worked with a wide range of clients including children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families facing challenges related to managing symptoms of anxiety, depression, adjustment, trauma, and loss in both clinical and school settings.

I utilize a person-centered approach, acknowledging the already existent strengths of each person to support the growth and development of skills to better manage symptoms and lead more harmonious lives. I use a variety of therapeutic modalities and techniques to best fit with client needs and encourage progress at an individualized pace. I seek to build and maintain a positive and safe environment where clients are encouraged to show up as they are, using humor, authenticity and education to challenge and explore barriers to living more balanced lives where they are able to reach their full potentials.

If this is your first-time seeking therapy, I am so happy you have decided to take the first step into unchartered territory, if you are returning, I am honored to be considered. This is a courageous move, and I would love to offer the opportunity to determine if we would be a good fit.
